Can you compose a story using these song titles from the Dixie chicks?
Dodge City, Kansas

Circa 1876

In my last story, "Piece Of My Heart," Sunshine MacGillicutty had rescued Matt Dillon from the clutches of Miss Kitty.

U.S.Marshal Matt Dillon had been hurt in a fight, and Kitty had taken him to her living quarters above the LongBranch Saloon, ostensibly to bandage his head wound. But, hey, come on .....You know Kitty. She did her best to ply him with Big Bubba Brandy and seduce him. Sunshine arrived just in time.

She managed to get Matt out of Kitty's clutches.

Kitty was left alone in her room. She poured herself another drink and looked out the window. She watched as Sunshine lovingly put Matt in the buckboard. She weeped as she saw Matt put his head on her shoulder.

WE NOW CONTINUE WITH :

"Piece Of My Heart"

Subtitle......"1) Hallelujah, I just love him so"

In 15 minutes, Sunshine and Matt were entering their little farmhouse. She helped him into the bedroom and soon he was under the covers.

Matt:"Look Sunny. I'm not going to go 3) Beatin' around the bush. I'm not really sure what went on in Kitty's room. I was dazed from that blow to the head, and also......She kept asking me to take sips of some drink....Brandy I think it was."

Sunshine:"Sweetie.....Nothing happened. However, if I hadn't arrived when I did .........Did you know she had your shirt and belt off and that your pants were unbuttoned?!" Matt made an incredulous face.

Matt:"Well I'll be a son-of-a- *****."

Sunshine:"MattBaby. 5) I can love you better than Kitty. "

Matt reached out his arms for her.

Matt:" I don't want Kitty. I want you. I love you,Sunshine. I believe in you. And thanks to you......6) I believe in love.

Sunshine:" Ohhhhhhhh.......4) Cowboy take me. Away with your nightshirt. Away with my clothes. Away with anything that could come between our bodies. Sweet sweet love was made as they wrapped themselves in each other's arms.

As morning dawned, Sunshine was startled by Matt's appearance. He had a huge lump on his head and two black eyes. She sat up and took a good look at his rugged face. She touched his cheek softly and smiled. He began to wake up.

Matt:"Good morning, SunnyMac." Sunshine couldn't help but laugh at his appearance. "What's so funny, you silly filly from Virginia?"

Sunshine:"You remind me of a raccoon!" She handed him a mirror. He took one look and laughed. "Listen, honey. You stay right here and I'm going to bring you breakfast in bed."

When she came back with a tray, Matt was sitting up, ready to dive into a nice warm meal. Suddenly she stopped and stared at him.

Matt:"What's the matter?"

Sunshine:"2) I wasn't looking for you. I was looking for that cute raccoon." Matt laughed and made room for her, back in bed. After they ate, Sunshine asked how he felt.

Matt: "Well, I'm not 7)Ready to Run but I feel lots better."

Sunshine:"Well I'll tell you one thing, Matt......I'm 8) Not ready to make nice with Kitty! "Matt patted her hand and told her all was well. ...That they would deal with Kitty, later on.

Matt: "My little protector.......I don't know what I'd ever do 9) Without you."

They were startled by a knock on their window!!

Matt:"Damn it all, Earl! I told you to stop doing that!"

Earl: "I'm plum sorry Marshal Dillon. Just thought you'd like to know that we're gonna have a lovely day, temperatures in the mid 80's with a slight breeze out of the South. La de da de da."

Just before Sunshine closed the curtains and shut the window she said but two words........10) "Goodbye Earl."

Reply:I beleive in love, but I wasn't looking for you. But Cowboy take me away and stop Beatin around the bush. I can love you better than anyone else. When I wake up every morning I tell myself "Halleluja, I just love him so!"....How's that?
Reply:A group of gossipers are discussing how they met their husbands, this is the story one of them told...

"Anyways like I was saying, when I met Jim he was real sensitive, very quiet. When I asked him about his love life he'd be beatin' around the bush and telling me all sorts of things like, "I dunno" or "I don't remember". It was like talking to a teenager but hallelujah, I just love him so! I thought it was the cutest thing when he tried to make me feel better after I had cried about my past relationships. He said, "Honey, I don't know much there is to know about love, on account of bein' homeschooled. An I know you're hurt. B-b-but I promise I can love you better." When he said that I knew just then that we would be together forever."

Just then her cell phone rang. "Hold on now ladies while I take this call. Hello?...Oh hi Jim!...Yes?...You're at the supermarket?...What, you were looking for me?...No, I wasn't looking for you...I'm at Barbara's house dear, I told you I'd be here this morning...Okay love ya hun."

"Anyways like I was saying, when Jim said that I just knew we'd be together forever. Well, he let his guard down and I took him out dancing. He's a terrible dancer but he sure is funny when he's drunk! I caught him singing the lyrics to 'I Believe In Love' by Kenny Loggins. I asked him why and he said he knew that song from listening to the radio as a child. Well you can guess how I felt when he said that, because I thought he was singing it for me! It wasn't until he started singing 'Cowboy Take Me Away' when I decided that it was time to call it a night. He fell asleep during the drive home and the next morning he couldn't remember a thing!"
